Episode 6: The Last Archetype

In which Aphrodite's domain is tested by a cowboy.

Hiiiiii!! Happy Tuesday!

I’m (finally) sharing episode six of The Aphrodite Project. Remember how I said episode 4 was difficult? This one almost made me quit this whole story. Let’s just say it’s a heavier one. This episode introduces the final archetype: Pan. If you know the mythology, you might have a clue of how it all plays out.

If you’ve missed any of the earlier episodes, you can catch up here.

Content note: This episode explores themes of intimidation, coercive behavior, and unwanted physical contact. Listener discretion is advised.

What do you think about Aphrodite's journey so far? I would love to hear from you!! You can respond to this email directly, comment on the Substack post, or email me at nemo@pulse-fm.com.

Show Notes

A bar, a cowboy hat, a defected peephole that reveals too much. Aphrodite insists she's fine; it's just another lesson, another archetype to catalog. The Poet sees something different.

This episode explores the blurred line between pursuit and pressure, and examines what happens when the lessons we extract from difficult situations aren't the ones we meant to learn. When is "fine" not really fine? And why do gods and mortals alike sometimes struggle to name what hurts?

Content note: This episode explores themes of intimidation, coercive behavior, and unwanted physical contact. Listener discretion is advised.

Performers:

Natasha Rene Jimenez as Aphrodite
Nemo as The Poet

Created by Nemo.

Special Thanks: Natasha, Sasha, my parents, the talented actors without whom this project would simply not exist.
